Compare selling and processing

Account for time, input value and the cost of running a production.

Compare the sale value with the production margin using prices from your game. Include delivery time and cost; a higher output value alone does not prove that processing earns more.

Value your own crops as inputs: processing them means giving up what selling them would earn. Open the facility’s recipes to check exactly what is consumed and produced.

Use the production calculator with the recipe quantities, output prices, cycle count and operating cost you checked. Its margin excludes building purchase, land and unlisted products. Shared throughput and game-time settings must be checked in your game.
